The response to the Joe poster has been pretty amazing, actually. I'm trying to fill all orders as fast as I can, and they're still pouring in!  Thanks to everyone who submitted orders!

To answer a few questions:
1) Yes, the unseen characters Wild Bill, Lift-ticket, Ace and Slipstream were meant to be in their respective vehicles (with Airborne as Dragonfly gunner). Thanks for spotting that!
2) One Joe fan pointed out that Starduster was missing. He and The Fridge were just mail-ins but Starduster did in fact get a mini-comic. The Defiant and MCC were just too massive for this picture and I hated to leave out their drivers, but sometime down the road I may get a chance to revisit those 2 beasts and the others mentioned. We'll see.
3) I do hope to address the characters from '88 to '91 at some point down the road. But I gotta get the Cobra poster done first! :)
4) As to larger poster prints...I honestly don't think the image would benefit. After you get your Joe posters, please let me know what you think, but I personally think this works best.  Also, my current printing arrangement helps keep costs down, but a larger poster would incur a much higher cost per copy.

Thanks again for all your great comments, guys and gals!

Anybody want a poster?

So I added the four remaining Joes (Rock N Roll, Tripwire, Flash and Grandslam), threw in a few missing shoulder patches and insignia, and changed a few other odds and ends (Spot the Differences!).

I think we can call this Done.

I hope to start on the Cobra poster within a few more weeks, but as usual I have to find time in-between my regular work schedule. The first poster took the better part of a month to finish, so expect the Cobra piece to be about the same.  Updates as they happen!

Regarding printed copies: I believe I can ship a 11"x17" (landscape format) poster on 24lb semi-gloss stock for a modest $5 each. This estimate includes the following:

$1.50 - Mailing tube
$3.00 - First Class shipping
$0.50 - Misc. overhead (materials, printing, etc)

I'm not making anything from this, the characters don't belong to me. So the total cost of $5 is only for the items and services needed to print and ship a single poster. And I'll be printing straight off the original psd file, to get the best quality possible.

If anyone wants a 11x17 inch copy of this poster, I have a Paypal link on this page where you can place your order. It should automatically provide me your mailing address so please make sure your information is up-to-date!

If you guys have any questions about this, feel free to send a note and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.  Always glad to hear from fellow Joe fans!

UPDATE 4-17-13
I've added a Paypal button to the Storefront page for orders to Canada. Thanks for asking, you guys!

When I created this piece I had no idea it would get “out there.” It was a gift for folks at the convention and that's as far as I got. In fact, my wife threw this site together just so I had a place to plunk the image. Well, now it's OUT THERE and I'm a bit overwhelmed by all the positive feedback.

I think it's great that other Joe fans are enjoying this picture as much as I enjoyed making it. This was a blast to create. I'll try and keep posting more artwork, and I'll be sure to add in the missing Joes from this piece within the week. And I'll definitely move forward with the Cobra poster. Thanks for the interest, guys!

As for purchasing this? I really didn't think of that going in, and I'm not sure I can legally sell it since the piece is all about copyrighted characters. I have no problem with anyone right-clicking and saving the image, as long as YOU don't go selling it, either! I do have some 8.5x14 prints left from the convention. Maybe we could work something out where you reimburse me just for postage if you want a print.

Let me think on it, work out some details, and update when I have more info.

Thanks again to Mr. Hama for his kind words and for posting my picture to his FB page, and thanks to you guys for the positive push forward.

G.I. Joe Collector's Club Commemorative Piece, April 2013

I wanted to create something as a Thank You for all the work that has gone into G.I. Joe, an inspiration for me since I was a kid. This composition was inspired by Michael Golden's G.I. Joe Yearbook #1 cover, Joes included are from 1982-1987. I handed a few of these out at the convention, and I hope the recipients enjoyed them. Thanks to everyone who keeps the Joes going!

My wife calls this piece "Where's Wal-Joe?" Can you spot the Joes that are missing? (I'm hoping to add them in an updated revision. I ran out of time!) Click the image to see a larger version.

I'm thinking of creating a Cobra piece next... what do you think?

I guess it was only a matter of time. People keep asking me: Dude! Where can I track down your stuff? I'm not one to be "out there" in these crazy intarwebs, but I guess it was inevitable. And I believe it's a good thing. I'll make it a good thing. Most of us fight with being "out there," I think.

Welcome to my tiny part of the 'verse! I will do my best to keep you updated and entertained :)
